Our expandable barriers for windows or doors are normally fitted within an opening (reveal fix) although can be face fitted if no reveal exists. For reveal fixing simply measure the overall width and height.
When measuring it is best to measure at across three points both for the width (top, middle and bottom) and the height (left, centre and right) and take the smallest measurement. The window or door barriers can be used as either a single or double sash which correspondingly doubles the width options. The sashes come supplied as standard with a pair of hinges and are finished in white. You will need to add the price of lock or lock pack as required depending on your product choice (see price page).
For door barriers over 1150mm width a heavy duty caster is recommended.
Commonly these expandable barriers are used as internal medium security with an appealing diamond lattice aesthetic. They are constructed of 12.7x12.7x0.9mm tubular white epoxy coated cold rolled steel lattice set into a 38mm steel 'U' channels but use of pivot points. They bunch up to approximately 15% of their overall width.
For windows and doors top tracks are not supplied as standard but are available as an optional extra in either 2 or 3 metre lengths. Barrier heights for Windows and doors can be cut down at an extra cost. Security can be enhanced with the additon of certain brackets. Please contact us for current prices for the above extras.
