We can supply internal expandable barrier gates designed for window or door applications where aesthetics are a key consideration but unlike conventional retractable gates these do not use top or bottom tracks. This makes it very easy to operate and can fold to 15% of its locked size. Each sash can turn through 180 degrees to maintain access. Different lock options are available depending on setting (see prices page).
All components are phosphate treated and finished in a resilient white gloss coating. The lattice sections are connected with high tensile steel rivets. They provide an attractive visual deterrent against traditional burglary methods.
For windows in domestic situations they can be completely concealed behind curtains when open. The window barriers are supplied in two widths and five heights and can be used in a double sash format which doubles the width options.
For doors the expandable barriers are available in 7 standard widths and 2 heights and can be quickly and easily fitted in almost any setting, including commercial, domestic and industrial applications.
Our trackless barrier system can operate on a series of steel reinforced trolleys that allow complete mobility, spanning any width and up to a maximum height of 2.5 metres. It is ideal for access control and security in shopping centres, factory units, car parks, loading bays, warehouses, sports facilities or simply partitioning.
Spanning any width it can be temporarily fixed in place with shoot bolts locking each trolley into the floor, for optimum security. Locking devices on the end posts allow them to be effectively secured to the walls.
There are two types of trolleys, Type B with a shoot bolt and Type D which is required where 2 barriers meet at 90 degrees to each other.
We can also supply expandable doors that have been specifically designed for securing emergency exits and vulnerable glass entrance doors. The unique design enables occupants to unlock the gate from inside the premises by rotating an innovative thumb-turn lock. This keyless operation ensures that a quick and safe exit can be achieved at all times. As with our other expandable barriers there are no tracks and the Double Diamond hinges aside as standard.
The attack side of the gate retains a key operated lock to restrict access. Importantly, the tight diamond pattern combined with a shielding plate, prevents intruders from reaching through the lattices to unlock the gate. The Double Diamond can provide a highly effective barrier against smash and grab raids.
